Expressive Painting

$175.00

Bring your painting skills to a new level in this four-week course taught by landscape oil painter Hilary Schenker. Learn new ways of seeing and tools for effective expression as you practice value studies, ways of painting light, how to choose a color palette, and more. Students may work in either acrylic or water-mixable oil paint. Each class includes a combination of demonstration, individual direction, and discussion. Reference photos will be provided, or students may bring a reference photo of their choice. Every student will go home with a finished painting perfect to display on their wall or gift to a friend. This course is suitable for first time students or to repeat. Bring an apron or wear clothes suitable for painting in. Suggested supply list is below. Minimum age to participate is 15.
