How do colors affect mood? Which colors harmonize? How do you mix the color you want every time? If you’ve ever felt confused by color theory, this workshop led by artist Hilary Schenker is for you. Over the course of two classes, students will gain a basic understanding of the fundamentals of color theory for painting and leave confident in their ability to make effective color choices. Each class will include a combination of discussion, demonstration, and painting exercises on topics including the color wheel, choosing a color palette, color mixing, complementary colors, color temperature and intensity. This class is suitable for all levels. Students bring their own materials, either acrylic or oil paint.
